Dr. Bailey is a pediatric oncologist and a clinical informatician at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. His research focuses on data science with an emphasis on semantic data quality and learning health system architecture.
Co-Investigator: Levon Utidjian, MD, MBI
Dr. Utidjian is a general pediatrician at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and a clinical informatician. His work focuses on the secondary use of EHR data for improvement, research, and surveillance.
About Our Network
PEDSnet is a national pediatric learning health system that serves as a collaborative platform for observational research, population surveillance, and clinical trials across seven of the nation’s leading children’s hospitals. Our research network has transformed electronic health record data from our member institutions into a common data model for over 6.7 million children. Patients come primarily from 12 states (PA, NJ, DE, MD, OH, KY, IN, IL, MO, CO, WA, and FL). With longitudinal data that dates back to 2009 and which is updated quarterly, PEDSnet is able to provide analyses across all pediatric diseases, all pediatric specialties, and all ambulatory, emergency department and inpatient clinical settings.
PEDSnet member institutions include: Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia; Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center; Children’s Hospital of Colorado; Nationwide Children’s Hospital; Nemours Children’s Health System (both the Delaware and Florida health systems); Seattle Children’s Hospital; and, St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
